Now that we’re into a new month I thought I’d look back at my Feb favs which range from makeup to clothes to places to eat!
Clarins Wonder Perfect Mascara
The brush on this mascara is lovely and long. I’ve gone off big round mascara brushes and much prefer the thin ones that really let you inidivdualise your lashes. Lately during the day I’m going for a more natural makeup look and I love spreading my lashes and making them long and curled!
Laura Mercier Candleglow Foundation
As I said above I’m going for a more natural makeup look these days so this foundation is perfect. It’s light on the skin so I suppose if you’re looking for a huge amount of coverage this probably isn’t what you need. With the name candleglow you can imagine there is a hint of illumination in the foundation and it leaves a very dewy look. Something Amanda tends to prefer to me (I usually go for a matt look finish) but I’m crossing over to her side!
I went for the shade Vanille. The next one up would be ideal maybe if you wear tan… I’ve pretty much stopped doing that too!
It’s a good foundation and costs €45 at SpaceNK on Grafton St.
MAC lipsticks in shade Twig and Yash. Perfect for a neutral look and not too matted that they leave your lips dry. Yash is a lovely tan kind of brown where as Twig comes out quite purple or deep red I feel on me!
Mink feather bag
This furry little fella from ASOS. I’ve only warn it once so far but I can’t wait for the weather to stay dry so I won’t be afraid to take it out incase the feathers go all frizzy!
Is the brogue in Vogue?
You can read my full article on these brogues and outfit details here. These were. €39.99 from H&M and once I’ve broken them in you will be seeing a lot more of them!
I love coffee shops and I am always on the look out for new ones (probably because seeking out competitors is part of my day job!) This little cafe called Provender + Family in Smithfield is so cute and just effortless. The coffee is great and I always have a chat with the barista when I’m in about the most random things. It’s owned by the vintage kilo store next door so that kind of gives it brownie points for me!
Oscars Bar & Kitchen Merrion Square
This bar has so much personality and uniqueness while at the same time it’s relaxing and welcoming. Really it’s how I would imagine Oscar Wilde’s sitting room to look, with a twist. Vintage style seating area with luxurious armchairs, comfy snugs with bright pink and blue chairs, a boar head wearing a top hat on the wall (as well as other examples of talented taxidermies).
It’s a cosy bar for a relaxed glass of red or if you’re into your gins you need to sample their selection! The kitchen menu is everything you want in a gastro bar menu; Scotch Egg, BBQ Ribs, Chargriled Burger, Steaks, Seasalt and Blackpepper Sausage, Curry Chip. Items that seem ordinary but really aren’t!
Aungier Danger Donuts
I’ve been meaning to try these and then ended up getting them twice in one week! Once in Arnotts pop up shop and the second at the Littlewoods Ireland SS16 showcase.
I tried the mixed berry and then the salted caramel one. Simply delicious!
So I know it’s all a mixed bag of info but there ya go for my Feb Favs. If you would like a separate blog post on any of the items, maybe the Laura Mercier foundation, just drop me a comment below!
