Fashion – & Other Stories

Hello Everyone!

As you have probably seen ‘& Other Stories’ had their official store launch last night on Grafton St. and although neither myself or Amanda could make the event, it did not stop me doing some serious damage in there today.

I took a look online last night and fell in love with the black fur jacket. So much so  I ran on my lunch break to go and pick it up. I’m working on a post right now of Christmas Staples and everything and anything fur is top of my list.

This was a little pricey at €145 (I know, I know) but to be honest, I got a beige faux fur from forever21 two years ago for 1/3 of the price and I just don’t love the fit of it. This jacket fits much nicer and it’s like a flat fur so I don’t look like a huge bear! I see this as an investment. Something I will be wearing every Christmas for the rest of time. Like the long grey TopShop coat I bought last year and haven’t taken off once since mid-October.

The size of this jacket really threw me though. I would normally be a 12, sometimes in leather jackets I would get a 10 but for this faux fur I ended up with a 32 which is a UK 8! I’m never an 8! Maybe it’s a trick to make you feel good and shop there more…

The second thing I got was this knit jumper. Again judging by the sizes it’s meant to be oversized but I still ended up with a Small. The sleeves were very long and I have another over sized jumper so preferred this one to be a bit more fitted. This was €39.

I forced myself against all my instincts and didn’t buy the black or grey version. I felt something different was on the cards for Christmas Day!

So that was a bit of a last minute splurge but I needed Xmas clothes anyway so good timing all the same. These two items will defo feature in my Christmas outfit inspo post which should be up by this weekend!
